Learn to Think Clear and Pure

To reach your goals – what you want for your life – you need to learn to think clear and pure.

That takes concentration. With effort – enough or more. The point is, it can be done.

It’s self-evident that you cannot think clear and pure without concentration.

If your thoughts fly here and there, how can you focus? Obviously you can’t hit your goal with such distraction.

Concentrating your thoughts is especially needed when you’re feeling depressed, confused, or over-reactive.

Take Nora, an OFW fastfood worker in Canada. She came from poverty and childhood sexual trauma before she worked overseas.

She experienced frequent moments when she’d simply break down due to negative feelings and memories invading her mind.

In her online therapy sessions via Fb messenger, she learned to think clear and pure.

Nora started doing this by understanding herself more deeply and applying some mental concentration techniques.

“One technique that’s helpful to me doc is the ‘body scan,’ and then fighting off the intruding thoughts,” she once shared.

Writer Henry David Thoreau spent 2 years living alone at Walden Pond.

He credited the isolation with his concentration that made his thoughts clear and pure for his writing and studies.

But in reality, in the world that’s accessible to us, it’s busy where we have family and work.

It’s not necessary to isolate, like Thoreau. Or, “self-quarantine,” to learn to think clear and pure.

Just take a few minutes off each day. Turn off your phone or tv. Shut yourself off from distractions as best as you can.

Next is to watch your mind. Practice freeing it from worry and irritation and trivia.

And then, concentrate on some fruitful area of concern to ponder on.

Learn to think clear and pure in your mental processes. Concentrate. Take the needed efforts.

Your real you, your whole being, depends on it.
