Within the self is where you witness how people really change.
Every one of us can change for the better. Every day is a day of opportunity for that to happen.
As Leo Tolstoy said, “True life is lived when tiny changes occur.”
You look in the mirror. Take stock of your self.
Ask: “Who am I?”
Tina answers that by observing that she’s afraid to make mistakes. And when she does, she feels inferior and depressed.
So in Therapy, Tina is helped to look in the mirror to watch a movie of her self.
Living, breathing of who she thinks and feels she is.
She discovers she experiences both confidence and frustration. Yes both positive and negative within her!
Within that mirror, Tina reflects on the choice she really wants. For she can’t be both confidence and frustration at the same time.
She chooses to focus on the side of confidence.
The more she learns to focus more on that, the less she falls onto negative feelings about her self in times of mistakes or failures.
It s within her self – how to turn the bad to good.
She trains not just being confident (good) but the capacity to rise above mistakes (bad) as well.
There it is, how people really change.
It’s never a danger to go deeper within your self.
Because it’s an attempt to understand who you really are and what you’re doing to your self.
Let’s call them digging into your “inner treasures.” Excavating and developing them.
These “inner treasures” will bring you a long way to lasting healing, wholeness, and happiness.
