Creative Cure. One of my favorites in the therapeutic realm.
I’m thinking of “mantra” as a form of psychological creative cure.
According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the word “mantra” means a sacred counsel or mystical formula.
Mantra can be an effective therapy tool to help people heal.
In the theatre of life in my sessions, I’ve witnessed countless individuals struggling with how they see themselves.
Their self perception affects very much the way they conduct every aspect of their lives.
A mantra can be a safe haven to the wounded and distressed.
Receive this one mantra truth we can each claim for ourselves.
“I create the life I want. I’m creative. I’m an artist.”
Saying this mantra aloud several times daily can work wonders.
Even if you don’t believe it yet, it exercises the muscle of your inner creative self.
Here’s the power of the mantra: it works on your unconscious.
You may struggle internalizing or believing what the mantra says about you.
Yet as you practice it repeatedly and perseveringly, the belief in the mantra eventually becomes true for you!
Get healed and whole through the creative cure of mantra.
Writer Jacob Nordby wrote a new book entitled “The Creative Cure: How Finding and Freeing Your Inner Artist Can Heal Your Life.”
“Creativity is the process by which imagination becomes reality. It exists in bountiful supply within everyone, and calls on our innate gifts of curiosity, attention, and loving connection so that we can live fuller and more meaningful lives … creativity offers a path out of stagnation, unhappiness, self judgment, and the kind of robotic living that leaves many of us feeling unfulfilled. Creativity is a forgotten cure for these life-depleting ailments, and a spiritual practice for returning to your truest self and living a life you love.”
